Tofu Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients
  

Tofu Filling

  • 1 block firm tofu drained and crumbled
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • 1/2 cup water chestnuts chopped
  • 1/4 cup green onions chopped

Wraps

  • 1 head butter lettuce leaves separated
  • sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds.
  • Add crumbled tofu and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and chopped water chestnuts. Cook for another 3 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in green onions.
  • Spoon the tofu mixture into butter lettuce leaves and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For extra crunch, add chopped peanuts or almonds before serving.
