Salt and Pepper Tofu

Ingredients
  

Tofu

  • 1 block firm tofu pressed and cut into cubes
  • ½ cup cornstarch for coating
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp white pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp chili flakes optional, for spice
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil for frying

Garnish & Flavoring

  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 green chili finely sliced
  • 1 green onion finely chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame oil for drizzling

Instructions
 

  • Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut into cubes.
  • Toss tofu cubes in cornstarch to coat evenly.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  • Fry the tofu cubes until golden and crispy (about 3-4 minutes per side), then remove and drain on paper towels.
  • In the same pan, sauté garlic, green chili, and green onion until fragrant.
  • Add the crispy tofu back to the pan and season with salt, black pepper, white pepper, garlic powder, and chili flakes.
  • Drizzle with sesame oil and toss everything together.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For extra crispiness, double-fry the tofu! You can also air-fry or bake it as a healthier alternative.
