Macaroni

Cheese Sauce

Instructions
Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk for 1 minute until smooth.
Slowly add the warm milk, whisking constantly to avoid lumps. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
Reduce heat to low and add the cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Stir until melted and smooth.
Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Stir well.
Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and mix until fully coated.
Optional: Transfer to a baking dish, sprinkle with extra cheese, and broil for a golden crust.
Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For extra creaminess, add a splash of heavy cream. Experiment with different cheeses like Gouda or Monterey Jack!
