Ingredients
  

Bread Pudding

  • 4 cups day-old bread cubed
  • 2 cups milk whole or 2%
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup raisins optional
  • 2 tbsp butter melted

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • Place the cubed bread in the baking dish and sprinkle raisins over the top.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the bread and let it soak for 10 minutes.
  • Drizzle melted butter over the top and bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

Serve warm with a drizzle of caramel sauce or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.
