  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)

  • Preheat & Prep:
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Prepare Puff Pastry:
  • Lightly flour your work surface and unroll the puff pastry.
  • Cut the pastry into 12 equal squares.
  • Cut the Cheese:
  • Slice the Brie into 12 even pieces. (If you prefer a milder bite, carefully trim off the rind.)
  • Assemble the Bites:
  • Place a piece of Brie in the center of each puff pastry square.
  • Top the cheese with approximately ½ teaspoon of fruit preserve.
  • For an extra hint of flavor and a pop of color, add a small sprig or a pinch of chopped fresh herbs atop each.
  • Optionally, you can gently fold over the corners of the pastry for a neater presentation, or leave them open for a rustic look.
  • Egg Wash & Bake:
  • Brush the exposed edges of the puff pastry with the beaten egg to promote a beautiful golden finish.
  • Arrange the prepared squares on the baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed up and golden.
  • Cool & Serve:
  • Remove the bites from the oven and transfer them to a cooling rack for a few minutes.
